As equipes de vôlei masculino e feminino e de basquete masculino de São José dos Campos se classificaram para a fase regional dos Jogos Abertos da Juventude, promovidos pela Secretaria de Esportes do Estado, em sua 39ª edição. A competição reúne atletas com idade até 18 anos completos.
Abrindo a fase sub-regional, os dois times de vôlei derrotaram Santa Isabel no sábado (23), em Santa Isabel, pelo mesmo placar, 2 sets a 0, enquanto que o basquete masculino eliminou Jacareí com uma vitória por 62 a 42 jogando na segunda-feira (25) no ginásio Linneu de Moura, em São José dos Campos.
Já as equipes masculina e feminina de tênis de mesa perderam para Jacareí nesta terça (26), por 2 a 0, e estão fora dos Joguinhos, pois as partidas desta fase são eliminatórias.
O time de futsal masculino joseense enfrenta Jacareí nesta quarta (27), às 20h, em Jacareí, e o vencedor do confronto avança à fase regional.
A fase sub-regional da competição prossegue até 23 de abril. Nesta fase, São José disputa nas modalidades de vôlei masculino e feminino, tênis de mesa masculino e feminino, handebol masculino e feminino, basquete masculino e futsal masculino.
As equipes de handebol (m/f) jogam no dia 12 de abril contra Jacareí, a partir das 19h, no ginásio Vale do Sol, em São José dos Campos.
Apenas o campeão de cada modalidade na fase sub-regional avança à etapa regional, que acontecerá no período de 24 de abril a 13 de maio. O congresso técnico da fase regional, quando será conhecida a tabela de jogos, será realizado no dia 23 de abril.
Já a fase final dos Joguinhos, que também só reunirá os campeões de cada modalidade da fase regional das demais regiões esportivas, acontecerá em Araçatuba, de 1 a 8 de junho.
