A Guarda Civil Municipal de São José dos Campos iniciou nesta quinta-feira (4) o Patrulhamento Comunitário como reforço ao policiamento na região central. A ação segue planejamento da Secretaria de Proteção ao Cidadão e será estendida para outras regiões da cidade.

A iniciativa reforça o policiamento já existente com as bases móveis, viaturas, motos e bicicletas, aproximando os agentes de segurança dos comerciantes e moradores da região. 

“Temos notado aqui a presença ativa dos Guardas Municipais e isso tem evitado assaltos, roubos e outros delitos na região. Agradeço a GCM”, disse Leandro Marchetti, empresário há 26 anos na Rua Major Antônio Domingues.

Segundo os comerciantes da região, a presença das forças de segurança é importante para inibir ações criminosas e se aproximar do dia a dia da comunidade nas regiões da cidade. 

Durante o patrulhamento, os guardas municipais também orientam os munícipes sobre programas institucionais, como o Apoio Social e medidas de manutenção de ordem e limpeza nas vias públicas.
