Cícero Lucena projeta João Pessoa como polo de desenvolvimento para o Brasil durante visita do ministro do Turismo a empreendimentos que impactam o setor na Capital

Seja na área de eventos, de cultura ou de lazer, João Pessoa vive um grande momento no turismo – fortalecido cada vez mais pelas ações do poder público, onde Prefeitura e Governo do Estado caminham juntos para potencializar ainda mais esse segmento, que gera emprego e desenvolvimento. Esse bom ambiente de parceria e projetos a pleno vapor, como no Polo Turístico do Cabo Branco e no Orla Sul, atraiu o ministro do Turismo, Celso Sabino, que neste sábado (23) foi recebido pelo prefeito Cícero Lucena e o governador João Azevêdo em uma visita técnica aos empreendimentos que estão em construção. O gestor municipal celebrou o momento, projetando a cidade como um grande polo para todo o Brasil.  

“O Polo Turístico do Cabo Branco, obra em ação pelo Governo do Estado, quando estamos consolidando esse projeto de desenvolvimento econômico do nosso Estado e da cidade. Fico muito feliz que aqui serão construídos vários hotéis, que vão permitir João Pessoa se consolidar como o polo turístico do Brasil. Se completa ainda, porque, na parceria com o Governo, a Prefeitura está cuidando da criação do Parque da Hilton Souto Maior, para proporcionar o melhor acesso a essa região, bem como a urbanização da Orla Sul, com acesso às praias do Sol e de Gramame”, afirmou o prefeito.  

O governador João Azevêdo espera que todos os empreendimentos do Polo Turístico do Cabo Branco, que incluem resorts, parque aquático, equipamentos de animação e estabelecimentos de comércio e serviços, fiquem pronto até o Réveillon de 2025. “Nós teremos 11 mil leitos em obra, então será, sem sombra de dúvida, um grande polo de geração de emprego. Dentro do projeto está sendo previsto uma unidade de treinamento e preparação de mão-de-obra, para que a gente possa pegar todas as pessoas aqui das comunidades próximas e prepará-los para trabalhar nesses equipamentos aqui do Polo Turístico. Então é uma operação em que todos saem ganhando”, explicou o governador.  

O ministro Celso Sabino elogiou o momento que João Pessoa vive no turismo, destacando equipamentos como o Centro de Convenções, a boa condição da cidade de receber o turista e o ambiente de trabalho do Poder Público. Ele disse que o Governo Federal já investiu R$ 122 milhões na Paraíba, incluindo João Pessoa e outras cidades com forte apelo turístico, a exemplo de Campina Grande, que tem o Maior São João do Mundo. Ele espera que o Estado possa continuar dando salto de crescimento nesse setor, impulsionado pela parceria dos governos Federal, Estadual e Municipal.  

“Muitos brasileiros e também estrangeiros empreendem no turismo aqui, especialmente nas cidades do Nordeste. E nós estamos hoje, aqui, muito felizes com a parceria que o presidente Lula tem com o governador João Azevêdo e sobretudo com os resultados positivos do turismo aqui na Paraíba e em João Pessoa”, disse o ministro durante visita ao Centro de Convenções e aos empreendimentos Ocean Palace Jampa Eco Beach, Amado Bio & SPA e o Tauá Hotel.  

Polo Turístico do Cabo Branco – Projeto do Governo da Paraíba voltado para o desenvolvimento do maior complexo turístico planejado do Nordeste. O projeto está inserido em uma área de 654 hectares, em uma região privilegiada de João Pessoa e próximo a diversos pontos turísticos.  

Orla Sul – Também planejado para impactar o setor do turismo na Capital, com acesso às praias do Sol e Gramame, por meio de pistas duplicadas, numa extensão de 6,5 quilômetros, o projeto da Prefeitura está em execução e promete oferecer, também, a melhoria da mobilidade urbana e oferecer espaços aprazíveis para a população, com locais de lazer, convivência, ciclovia e iluminação em LED.  

O secretário de Turismo de João Pessoa, Daniel Rodrigues, também celebrou as obras que estão sendo tocadas em João Pessoa, que farão, segundo ele, a cidade mudar seu patamar para o segmento. “O turista virá pra João Pessoa e terá mais opções para visitar. A cidade tem praias belíssimas, mas a capacidade dessas praias, que já têm estrutura, não são suficientes para atender a demanda que vai vir. Muitos voos virão. O Orla Sul vai chegar no momento certo para que João Pessoa possa ampliar o seu lazer e sua opção turística”, afirmou.
