O Conselho Estadual de Segurança Pública e Defesa Social de Minas Gerais (CESPDS-MG) está com inscrições abertas para o preenchimento de cinco vagas em sua composição para o biênio 2024/2025.
As inscrições podem ser feitas até 27/3. A busca é por representantes das seguintes áreas da sociedade: membro de instituições de ensino superior e pesquisa; representante de entidade e organização dedicada à proteção e à promoção dos direitos humanos; membro de entidade estadual representante de profissionais da Segurança Pública ou Defesa Social; representante de órgão integrante do Sistema Único de Segurança Pública (Susp), como guardas municipais ou agências de trânsito municipais; e representante de organização da sociedade civil cuja finalidade esteja relacionada com políticas de Segurança Pública e Defesa Social.
As organizações que se enquadram nas descrições das vagas abertas poderão realizar a indicação de titular e suplente para o assento ou, em caso de interesse, endossar a candidatura de outra entidade.
Todos os detalhes do processo seletivo estão descritos em edital que pode ser conferido neste link. A documentação das candidaturas deve ser realizada pelo e-mail cespds@seguranca.mg.gov.br.
Caberá aos conselheiros eleitos aproximar o grupo que representam das decisões e iniciativas do governo. Também é missão levar demandas, opiniões e ideias para discussão colegiada da Segurança Pública em Minas Gerais.
Os conselheiros podem, ainda, propor, analisar e participar da definição de políticas públicas na área da Segurança, acompanhando e fiscalizando o desenvolvimento das políticas desenvolvidas no Estado de Minas Gerais.
Sobre o conselho
O Conselho Estadual de Segurança Pública e Defesa Social de Minas Gerais é um órgão colegiado permanente que faz parte da estrutura estratégica de governança do Sistema Único de Segurança Pública (Susp).
Entre seus objetivos estão o fortalecimento do controle social e a fiscalização da efetividade das políticas públicas de Segurança e Defesa Social em Minas Gerais.
O CESPDS-MG tem competência consultiva, sugestiva e de acompanhamento social e é composto por 42 membros, sendo 21 titulares e 21 suplentes.
É presidido pelo secretário de Estado de Justiça e Segurança Pública e tem, entre os componentes, o comandante-geral da Polícia Militar, o chefe da Polícia Civil, o comandante-geral do Corpo de Bombeiros Militar, o chefe do Gabinete Militar do Governador e o ouvidor-geral do Estado.
Outras secretarias estaduais, órgãos do Poder Judiciário e membros da sociedade civil organizada também têm cadeiras para seus respectivos representantes.
