Vice-governador Felicio Ramuth acompanhou a abertura do novo trecho nesta 4ª, no sentido Ubatuba, para ampliar acesso ao Litoral Norte
O Governo de São Paulo autorizou nesta quarta-feira (20) o início da operação especial de tráfego no Contorno Norte de Caraguatatuba, sentido Ubatuba, na Rodovia dos Tamoios (SP-099). O trecho de aproximadamente oito quilômetros vai ficar liberado 24 horas por dia até o próximo dia 7 de janeiro, ampliando a fluidez e a segurança no acesso a destinos no Litoral Norte durante o período de festas.
“O governador Tarcísio de Freitas tem dado uma atenção especial para o Litoral Norte e autorizou, no início da gestão, os investimentos para aquisição dos equipamentos de automação e segurança para os túneis do contorno da Tamoios, que não estavam previstos, o que permitiu que esta obra tornasse realidade”, afirmou o vice-governador Felicio Ramuth, acrescentando que as obras do Contorno Norte, quando concluídas, além de melhorar o trânsito e a segurança, vão fomentar ainda mais o desenvolvimento turístico e a geração de emprego e renda na região.
Com a operação especial, as pistas do Contorno Norte estarão liberadas 24 horas por dia até o dia 7 de janeiro de 2024. A partir do dia 8, com a continuidade das obras na rodovia, o trecho terá interdição no período noturno de segunda a quinta-feira, das 22h às 6h, e liberação total às sextas-feiras, sábados e domingos. Durante os fechamentos noturnos, os motoristas deverão fazer o trajeto pela Rodovia Rio-Santos (SP-055).
O Contorno Norte tem pista única, com fluxo nos sentidos Caraguatatuba e Ubatuba, além de quatro túneis – dois em cada direção, lado a lado, com extensões entre 270 metros e 395 metros.
“Estamos realizando uma ação planejada e estudada. Desta forma, a operação trará mais conforto aos usuários e fluidez ao tráfego durante o período de férias”, afirmou Milton Persoli, diretor-geral da Agência de Transporte do Estado de São Paulo (Artesp).
A Artesp orienta que os motoristas fiquem atentos à nova configuração de trânsito na região durante a operação especial no Contorno Norte para simplificar o acesso ao novo trecho.

Após percorrer a Serra Antiga da Tamoios e chegar em Caraguatatuba, siga pela direita, mantenha-se à direita e acesse o primeiro retorno na altura do km 82, indicando o caminho para Ubatuba.

Ao sair de Caraguatatuba, siga em direção à Serra Antiga da Tamoios. Na altura do km 82, em frente ao supermercado Shibata, utilize o acesso à direita, suba a rampa e siga em frente, seguindo as sinalizações para Ubatuba.

Ao trafegar pela SP-055, mantenha-se à esquerda para pegar o acesso na altura do km 97 e siga as sinalizações para alcançar o Contorno Norte em Caraguatatuba.
Origem: Ubatuba | Destino: Caraguatatuba/São Sebastião
Ao trafegar pelo Contorno Norte, o acesso para São Sebastião está localizado na altura do km 06, sentido Caraguatatuba. Saia à direita, desça a rampa e utilize o viaduto de retorno na altura do km 82 para voltar para a Tamoios em direção ao centro de Caraguatatuba. Após o retorno, prossiga utilizando a SP-055 em direção a São Sebastião.
