O governador Romeu Zema participou, na noite desta terça-feira (31/10), da cerimônia de posse do novo presidente da Confederação Nacional da Indústria (CNI), realizada em Brasília (DF). A CNI é a principal representante da indústria brasileira em defesa e promoção de políticas favoráveis ao empreendedorismo e produção do setor, que reúne 476 mil indústrias no Brasil.
O empresário Ricardo Alban assumiu a presidência e ficará à frente da CNI no período de 2024 a 2027. Alban, atualmente, é presidente da Federação das Indústrias do Estado da Bahia (Fieb), função que desempenha desde 2014. Ele sucederá a Robson Braga de Andrade, que liderou a confederação de 2010 a 2023.
Ainda no evento, foram empossados os novos vice-presidentes executivos da CNI e os membros do Conselho Fiscal. Os cinco eleitos para o cargo de vice-presidente representam as indústrias de cada uma das regiões do país. A missão no Sudeste brasileiro fica por conta do presidente da Federação das Indústrias do Estado de São Paulo (Fiesp), Josué Gomes da Silva.
Indústria em Minas Gerais
Desde 2019, foram R$ 379,7 bilhões em atração de investimentos no estado, sendo R$ 120 bilhões para o setor da indústria. São 1.446 empresas do ramo em Minas Gerais, que geram 147 mil empregos. Em 2022, o setor industrial representou 28,9% da economia de Minas Gerais.
